
Ken Chawkins
Senior Advisor
As a Senior Advisor at JCI Worldwide, Ken Chawkins guides clients in public affairs strategy, stakeholder engagement, and communications, drawing on nearly 30 years of experience across business, labor, government, and nonprofit sectors.
Ken previously held senior public policy and government relations roles at Air Products and Chemicals, Southern California Gas Company, and Southern California Edison, where he also served as Special Assistant to the CEO. His consulting work spans energy, water, and environmental policy, including advising Pasadena City College, Crescenta Valley Water District, the Mono Lake Committee, and South Coast AQMD Vice Chair Michael Cacciotti. He led South Pasadena’s transition to the nation’s first all‑zero‑emissions police fleet and supports the city’s solar and battery‑storage initiatives.
He serves on several boards, including Ability First and the San Rafael Neighborhood Association, is a senior consultant to National Demographics Corporation, and teaches Stakeholder Engagement at UCLA Luskin. Ken holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA, an M.A. in Public Policy from Claremont Graduate University, and is a Coro Fellow alum.
