Georgia Antonia Lewis

Georgia is a senior at the University of California, Los Angeles, majoring in Sociocultural Anthropology and Chinese Language & Civilizations. With an international background in places like Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Hong Kong, Brooklyn, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, she appreciates diverse cultures and connects easily with individuals from various backgrounds. Her professional background includes community building, conflict resolution, marketing, sales, and research.

At JCI, Georgia leads the revamping of social media, improving company visibility through research, media outreach, and copywriting. She collaborates with Account Coordinators, playing a crucial role in achieving client goals and enhancing community engagement.

Previously, Georgia served as Chief of Staff at Potli, a plant-based wellness company. She led sales and wholesales operations, managed cross-channel marketing campaigns on platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, and email. She coordinated with influencers, managed events, and oversaw in-store activations. Georgia also has experience in unconventional work environments, including an indoor vertical aquaponic farm in Hong Kong and a year-long work-trade in Oregon and Hawai’i.

In the summer of 2023, Georgia conducted an ethnography for her thesis, "Navigating Liminality in Paradise: Seeking Psychological Well-Being Through Work-Trade in the Midst of Maui’s Disintegration." The thesis explores the concept of work-trade, gained momentum during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on Flower Farm Hāna’s program amid Maui's wildfire devastation. She examines how young adults (18-28) navigate liminality through work-trade experiences. Alongside her thesis, Georgia enjoys trying different foods, trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and is gearing up for her first competition this year.
