Our Client: JCI co hosted with The Milken Institute. The Milken Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank focused on accelerating measurable progress on the path to a meaningful life, with a focus on financial, physical, mental, and environmental health.

Our Challenge: Growing and supporting California's cleantech landscape requires continued communication, as the state deploys clean energy solutions at scale.

Our Approach: JCI invited companies and legislators to discuss how businesses can leverage available funds and brainstorm how to facilitate progress in California’s manufacturing and clean energy deployment efforts to advance clean energy policy goals. We secured high-profile hosts from the energy sector, including State Senators Josh Becker and Henry Stern, both of whom are members of the Senate Energy, Utilities, and Communications Committee, to begin the conversations.

Our Results: JCI Worldwide and the Milken Institute proudly hosted the California Clean Energy Future (Legislative and Regulatory) Roundtable in Sacramento on August 6th, 2024. The event brought together more than a dozen legislators, four major state agencies and regulatory leaders, and 20 clean energy firms to wrestle with how the state can move forward on clean energy goals, carbon neutrality and cleantech financing while also manufacturing the technology that will bring us there.
