Simi Situ is a Downingtown, Pennsylvania native, and has a variety of experiences in public relations, marketing, and academic research. As an Account Coordinator at JCI, she will be contributing to a number of accounts while expanding her knowledge in public affairs and community outreach.
Prior to JCI, Simi was Junior Content Writer at Zest AI, a fintech startup dedicated to broadening access to equitable lending in the United States. During her time at Zest, she pitched and wrote editorial, reached out to media, and managed online content to tell the stories about the impact improved credit systems can have. Simi also spent two years as a Researcher at the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, the leading think tank in the world studying diversity and inclusion in entertainment through original research partnered with Netflix, Paramount, Viacom, and more.
In May 2024, Simi completed her undergraduate studies with departmental honors at USC where she will also pursue a progressive Master’s degree in Communication Management. Her senior thesis explored the power and value of entertainment critics in popular culture through a series of interviews.
