
Citi Influencer Marketing - Brand Awarenes
JCI assisted Citi to build awareness and connect with leading influencers in the Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Bay Area. Highlighted their mobile challenge hack-a-thon winners and garnering media attention as innovators in banking technology.
Our Challenge: Working collaboratively with DC based firm, Purple Strategies, JCI assisted Citibank in building brand awareness and connecting with leading influencers in Silicon Valley. Citi needed to promote their Mobile Challenge Hack-A-Thon winners and garner media attention as innovators in banking technology, as well as establish relationships for their regional private wealth management team with top CEOs in the region.
Our Approach: JCI working with Purple Strategies, tapped into existing relationships in San Francisco and established a partnership with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), whose Innovators’ Committee featured several CEOs from leading technology firms. We combined celebrations for Citi’s Mobile Challenge with a kickoff event for SFMOMA’s annual FOG Design + Art Fair. Citi held an invite-only dinner, in attendance were Silicon Valley luminaries; Yelp CEO Jerry Stoppelman, Jawbone CEO Hosain Rahman, venture capitalist Pierre Lamond, and Adam and Kate Clammer of True Wind Capital and Source Capital.
Our Results: Citibank was able to brand themselves at the intersection of design, technology and banking while also promoting their Mobile Challenge winners. Coverage included C Social Front, SFGATE, SFLUXE, and other regional Silicon Valley media.
