Santa Monicans for Sensible Priorities 2006 City Council Election

JCI developed the election campaign for two Santa Monica City Council candidates in the recent 2006 elections. Mayor Bob Holbrook and City Planning Commissioner Terry O’Day both supported a balanced approach to the homelessness problem that Santa Monica continually faces. Holbrook and O’Day brought their values and experience together to promote their vision of Santa Monica as a safe, healthy environment that provides residents with employment and education opportunities. JCI’s campaign efforts included:

Sending letters and e-mails to Santa Monica residents on behalf of Holbrook and O’Day
Creating and distributing promotional mailers and newsletters
Publishing editorial letters by current Santa Monica leaders and elected officials
Surveying Santa Monica residents on homelessness and crime
Conducting a door-to-door grassroots program: visited 40,000 voters and distributed campaign materials
Hosting a town forum in which residents could speak on the issues
